Add ISBNs Button (Sale Sites)

Allowing users to bulk paste ISBNs into a modal to quickly build their Wish List, eliminating the need to click each book individually.

Goal:

Before we built the bridge flow, our first priority was to improve the Wish List experience for users,
since the Wish List ultimately becomes the order list.

Over time, we continuously enhanced the Wish List by adding new features and refining the UI, making it easier and more intuitive to use. One of the key new features was the Add ISBNs button, which made creating a Wish List faster and easier before sending it to the order page.

02

Order Form Page (Sale Sites)

Allowing users to review inventory and finalize book quantities directly from their Wish List.

Goal:

Create a new page, ‘Wish List Order Form,’ where users can finalize their orders before sending them to the Biz.

This approach helps reduce traffic on the Biz site, which currently experiences slowdowns due to heavy data loads and technical constraints. By completing the majority of steps on the Sale sites prior to bridging to the Biz site.

Bridge Flow - Sale sites (catalog) to Biz (ordering)

Users will explore the Sale Sites to create their lists, which can then be sent to the Biz site, where they actually place orders.

Goal:

Currently, users create own lists from catalogs received via email or by browsing Sale Sites before placing an order on the Biz. We designed a flow that preserves the current Biz experience while increasing efficiency by automatically adding items to the shopping cart.

  • Optimized for high-traffic conditions: The Biz site flow is streamlined to minimize steps and reduce friction during peak usage.
  • Robust edge-case handling: Confirmation dialogs ensure accuracy before any automated action is completed.
  • Flexible exit options: Users can halt the process at any time using the exit button.
  • Seamless authentication: Signing in on either Sale Sites or Biz automatically logs the user in across platforms, eliminating redundant steps.
  • Guided onboarding: Contextual messages help users navigate the new flow smoothly and confidently.
